‘CREAM CHEESE IS NOT A FOOD FOR THOSE WHO HAVE HAD OBESITY SURGERY’ – Dr. Now, My 600LB Life.
First, regarding OOPSIE BREAD.
Pleaseeeeeeee stop calling the crappy damp limp baked egg whites ‘bread’. It perks up everyones ears but most of all it prevents you from making the line in the sand that there ultimately is ‘no bread’ after weight loss surgery. Just learn to live without wrapping food in something you call ‘bread’. Make that decision now so you can embrace the change and GET OVER IT. Making wet rolls out of CREAM CHEESE and EGG WHITE is just a bad idea.
In fact, stop using cream cheese as an everyday ingredient. Stop with the Cloud ‘Bread’ using cream cheese, stop using it to make a creamy dressing for Fauxtato Salad, stop using it to make a pizza crust (it’s called FAT head, doesn’t that tell you anything?), STOP adding it to pan drippings to make a creamy sauce for your chicken.
I knew Cream Cheese was a bad food when I used to sandwich two inches of it in my 500 calorie Dunkin ‘Everything’ Bagel that was the size of my open hand, and I know it now that I have had bariatric surgery. Do you guys just not know its really fattening? It is wonderful and tangy and creamy and good but its just not a good choice food. The key ingredient used to make cheesecake and carrot cake frosting and fill the centers of deep fried jalapeños is obviously fattening… can we start by agreeing on that?
If you missed the ‘Cream Cheese is super fattening’ memo, let’s review it. CREAM CHEESE IS NOT A FOOD FOR PEOPLE WHO HAVE HAD OBESITY SURGERY. Boom.
YES, I have a couple of wonderful no sugar Cheesecake recipes in my books. I use cream cheese to make a cheesecake for an occasional birthday or holiday and that is actually the reason WHY we don’t eat cream cheese in everyday life. Surely the main ingredient in a cheesecake is easily identifiable as a NO food. Sorry but there really isn’t an argument against this one.
