Fast and tasty! I love Asian flavors and these little meatballs taste like dim sum dumplings or pot-stickers.
Serves: Makes 24 meatballs, depending on size
  • 1¼ pounds lean ground turkey
  • ¼ cup panko crumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 2 teaspoons grated fresh ginger - or use Gourmet Garden Ginger tube found in the produce section
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • ¼ cup chopped cilantro
  • 3 scallions, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 2 teaspoons sesame oil
  • 4 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 teaspoons sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
  • 1 scallion, sliced
  1. Gently blend the turkey, panko, egg, ginger, garlic, cilantro, scallions, soy sauce and sesame oil and form into small balls – I use a small metal ice cream scoop to portion, then roll with my hands. Brown in a non-stick skillet 3 to 4 minutes, until cooked through. Blend the sauce ingredients – soy sauce, sesame oil, lime juice, and scallion –pour over meatballs in skillet and cook a minute to reduce slightly.
