Place this dish on the family table and watch them dig in – these seasoned drumsticks are moist juicy and so much easier to eat than chicken breast for someone with bariatric surgery.

Kentucky Air Fried Chicken for Bariatric Eating


Kentucky Air Fried Chicken
  • 6 chicken legs, no skin
  • 1 cup milk
  • ¼ cup hot sauce
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  1. Preheat air fryer as per directions - I used the 390 setting. If using convection toaster oven, preheat to 400 degrees.
  2. Place the chicken in a large plastic bag or bowl, add the milk, hot sauce, salt, garlic powder, and paprika - close bag to marinate for 30 to 60 minutes or overnight in the refrigerator. Remove from liquid and dry with paper towels.
  3. Arrange in the air fryer basket. (or on Pam-sprayed baking sheet) and air fry or bake until golden, 15 to 17 minutes.
