When short on time, I have been known to take a shortcut or two in making a big bowl dish to take to a party or event, such as Superbowl.
One of my super powers, is that I can add enough flavor, also known as ‘doctoring up’ a quasi packaged food where no one knows it’s not homemade.
One of these meals is a big pot of meatballs in red sauce but not my grandma’s recipe. Take a big bag of Celentano Meatballs and simmer them in a pot with a jar of Mario Batali pasta sauce for just 15 to 20 minutes, until hot, spoon into a bowl, hit it with a handful of freshly grated Parmesan or Locatelli cheese and a handful of chopped fresh basil leaves and BOOM, first dish to empty. Try it and you will see! Super low carb and tasty enough to keep you from diving into the bucket of deep fried wings.
