This version eliminates the 'frying' step, instead the eggplant is roasted, which concentrates the flavor. While not traditional, I love the added ricotta 'lasagna' layer that serves as the protein. I like the eggplant to shine, so I do not add too many herbs or spices. A wonderful dish!

This is also called Spatchcocking, I don't know WHY, but it is! I put the game hen on my cutting board and with my big chefs knife cut through the breast bone and then flatten it out. IF I ate this every day for a month I bet I'd lose 20 pounds. There is nothing in that pot that was responsible for my being 300 pounds. So many of you are afraid of vegetables and we would like to help you to not fear them. Some of you BM just once a week and believe it is normal. PROBLEM: No vegetables.
Omg... corn? Oh no, not evil corn. Yes, corn... cutting an ear of fresh corn into rounds gives everyone a taste and adds about 3 carbs to your meal. THREE CARBS! It's clean and fresh and flavorful and tastes so good with the pan juices. What a meal... try this one.
This time we have added Oscar Mayer Natural Hardwood Smoked Sausage slices! Oh my my!
Throw some chops on the grill until they are a perfect medium rare and pair them with a salad and summer corn.
"I am using another brand of protein that doesn't taste very good but it also causes my stomach to rumble and I sometimes have to run to the bathroom. I am afraid to try yet another brand and waste more money. WHAT DO I DO?"
Lots of dietitians *believe* this is true, when it is actually NOT. The fact is our body sucks up the amount of protein that it NEEDS at any given time - it doesn't turn off or automatically STOP at 20g or 30g or 40g.
Most doctors say okay for you to have wine IF you are at least one year post op.
As for liquid of choice. It is completely up to your preference and what your intentions are for weight loss. This is about being Mindful of Calories but you have to LIKE the taste too.
I didn't say anything bad, I was just trying to find out who else drinks the protein I buy at Walmart. I thought this was a Support Group!
