BACK ON TRACK - No Regain!

Click a Name to read a 'Back on Track' Weight Loss Story!

Back on Track week 23 starts today. I have lost all 49 lbs of regain, lost an additional 13 lbs, met my previous goal of wearing a size 12, realized that I have a desire to lose another 20 lbs before I start maintenance. I have been exercising (walking) faithfully! I pray that each of you can commit to meeting your goals on this journey and that you have a blessed and successful week.

I started BOT 102 days ago, have lost 40 pounds of regain and have been able to stop taking my physician prescribed blood pressure meds, a savings of $20.00 monthly that I invest in Inspire protein & Journey vitamins. I am worth good health. YOU are worth good health. Please be kind to yourself…you deserve it!

BOT – Back On Track works! I had bypass in 2009 and had gained back up to 182 pounds over the years but since May I have lost 34 pounds – down to 148 this morning!

I did it my friends! I did it! I completed the 48 Hour Pouch Reset and IT WORKED! I bet I didn’t consume even 3 ounces of chicken breast and now I know my pouch works! I am 3 1/2 years out and bad habits have creeped back in. I was scared that I broke my tool. Pleased to share I am Back On Track and ready to drop this regain.

Doing great on Back On Track plan. Saw a friend haven’t seen in awhile she said “Wow you look great, have you lost weight?” I was happy to say “almost 20 pounds”. She asked me how, by the time we went our own ways she was going to give BOT a try. BOT works! I am now down 21 pounds today woohoo!

I am loving the Inspire protein powders and how they fill me up and last a while. No cravings and lots of energy. I have lost 18 of my 25 regain and I’m glad I started using Inspire as my ‘go to’ protein.

Please give the 48 Hour Pouch Reset and Back On Track a try. I have lost 20 pounds. I am 2 years out and thought since my honeymoon was over that I could not lose, but I am. I have a bad knee so I have not exercised as much so it’s slow but it is working. Blessed!

Back on Track, NO REGAIN, Bariatric Eating weight loss for regain plan 2017

What the Heck Happened?

Once we are years beyond bariatric surgery rather than months, it’s common to struggle with Regain. Over the years the body adapts to surgical alterations, we are no longer as strict, and one of these times when we get whacked (hard) by life, we find ourselves steamrolled by thirty five (or more… ugh!) pounds we didn’t see coming.

It is really important that we all use every bit of energy to focus forward on the positive and not waste it on ‘should have, could have, would have’. Let the reality sink in and get your mind ready to embark on an adventure – welcome to the Back on Track plan.

Get your Ticket to Ride - Back on Track

Even after Bariatric Surgery we are still searching for the miracle and unfortunately, THERE ARE NO MIRACLES OR MAGIC PILLS. If you do not exercise for years and let your body remain dormant, if you slide back into your old bread, pasta, soda, Everything In Moderation habits and begin drinking with your meals, you will gain weight. It’s math. That is why you are reading this. So much for “137 pounds Gone Forever!” Bariatric surgery is a tool, not a cure.

However, the greatest glory in living lies not in never falling, but in rising every time. What we call failure is not the falling down, but the staying down. So let’s get back up!

I Think I Stretched My Pouch

We all have a surgical tool that is largely intact and if you need any reminder of how small your stomach really is, OR IF YOU BELIEVE YOU HAVE STRETCHED YOUR POUCH, start with The 48 Hour Pouch Reset to both test, reset your pouch and gather renewed confidence in its ability to create restriction. In all likelihood, your pouch is fine, you’ve just been choosing the wrong foods.

Own It and Move On

It took me a lot of years to admit that I have always been the one responsible for my weight. It was not just my thyroid, my genes, or my bad metabolism. While those things influenced an outcome, it has always been the calories in the food I chose to eat versus how many calories my body burned. Owning it and taking responsibility empowers you. With that out of the way I can work to change things. Yes, I have a bad thyroid condition, now let’s move on.

Revision Anyone!

If I had a dime for everyone who asks about ‘a Revision’, I would not have to work. Even if you need a revision due to a mechanical band failure, you still ate your way through the first surgery. If do not change the way you eat and have more surgery, you will eat your way through that one as well. More surgery is not the answer. Bariatric surgery is not a dam that is built to hold back the deluge FOREVER, it’s meant to hold back our eating and remove the bulk of the weight burden while we get our act together! You have about 16 months… GO.

Face the Regain!

We put together this plan and in 8 months I lost fifty eight pounds. Currently 12 of 17 Admins on BariatricEating Support Group on Facebook have lost fifty pounds or more using this Back on Track plan. Three have lost more than ONE HUNDRED pounds!  **The others have not had regain.** It’s simple but it’s not easy, but bariatric surgery wasn’t the easy the first time either. However, losing weight now is a lot easier than without surgery so you can relax.

The Back on Track Plan

It is simple, it makes sense, there are no tricks or pills. This plan is all about limiting choices, limiting calories, staying full, keeping full, and raising metabolic burn rate. 1, 2, 3… Boom!

No other plan has helped more people to lose a bariatric regain or get a stall restarted – no doctor or hospital program, no one anywhere can even come close. Tens of thousands have found success with the help of Bariatric Eating and all you have to do is start.

The key to this plan is Four Protein Drinks a day to give you back your control. Protein fuels metabolism, fat burning and weight loss. The first one when you wake up and the last about an hour before supper. If you are a night time eater, use a FIFTH Inspire protein drink as an evening ‘treat’ to shut down snacking and foraging. You don’t have to use Inspire, but it tastes fantastic and keeps you very full. The most successful Regain losers drink Inspire.

They blend easily using a glass and a spoon, or use a shaker cup.
Glass. Liquid. Inspire. Spoon. Stir. Yum. Full.

Eat Fresh Food! BariatricEating has always promoted a simple meal plan of Protein FIRST, followed by lower carbohydrate vegetables & fruits. Our ultimate goal is to transition all meals to a really sensible healthy diet like you read about all the time.

For Back on Track we are focused on Four Inspire Protein Drinks to fuel fat burning and keep hunger away, plus one Healthy Protein Meal. The nightly meal consists of a lean baked or pan sautéed protein served with seasoned lower carb vegetables or salad. We have seven weeks of meals for you to follow, then you can start over with week one again!

  • No bread, no potatoes, no tortillas, no rice, no rolls, no wontons, no pasta, no cake, no cookies, no high fat foods, no high carb foods or low carb wraps.
  • Do NOT drink with your meals. If you have been drinking with meals. YOU MUST STOP IT.
  • Drink 8 cups of water or zero calorie liquid daily. If it’s difficult for you, download our free Hydration app at

3. Working Out, the Secret Sauce for REGAIN LOSS

Get up off the sofa… now.

No one likes to exercise. Fat people like to tell themselves that slim people LIKE to workout. THEY DON’T, they like how it makes them look and feel. Try it and you will see why they feel that way. Regain is not always about eating too much; its that we don’t burn enough. Exercise increases our burn rate and makes us feel STRONG and ALIVE. Once you start you will actually LIKE how it makes you feel – instead of being tired when time is up, you feel invigorated. We use Metabolism and Age as excuses for weight gain. Even small movement helps us lose our regain. GET UP OFF THAT SOFA.

A: NO, you can’t skip the exercise part!!! We have a real time exercise video where your feet do not even leave the floor. If you don’t want to exercise, that is fine, but lets get real with the ‘I can’t’. Sorry, but everyone you say that to does an eye roll.
