I love love love hot dogs. Hot dog night in our house is always met with an 'All Right!' from my husband. They're a fast to the table meal to toss on the grill any night of the week.

There is nothing wrong with hot dogs, just buy the good ones. I pick up either Hebrew National or Nathan's as they have great flavor and lower fat versions. I do love the ones with the casings that snap... and our local butcher shop has some delicious hand crafted ones that are out of this world.

With hot dogs you get what you pay for and that $2 package of turkey or chicken or famous brand that we all can sing and spell, are not even remotely good for you, ditto for Ballpark... so 'splurge' for the more expensive ones.

After bariatric surgery bread is an issue, so put your dogs on a plate with your favorite fixings.

Or try this... a romaine lettuce holder. Its delicious, its handy and its not bread. Friends and family may giggle, but so what! Enjoy your Summer BBQ Hot Dogs, right off the grill.

How do YOU like your hot dogs? My fave is Gulden's Brown Mustard and Sauerkraut!
