There is no doubt about it bellas, Water IS Slimming. Give this Strawberry Detox Water a try. Make your pitcher of water part of your calming morning ritual... taking care of YOURSELF is important.

I've been making flavored water for years. I love the subtle taste of the fruits in it and it helps me drink more water! I hadn't given much thought to the properties of the ingredients but now see pitchers of same waters I drink labeled as Detox water. Hmmm, the ingredients in the flavored waters I'd already been making not only taste wonderful but also contain properties that encourage weight loss.


  • 10 strawberries, thinly sliced
  • Half a cucumber, thinly sliced
  • One lemon, thinly sliced
  • A handful of fresh basil leaves, grow them in a pot on a windowsill
  • 6 cups ice
  • Water add more or less to taste - I use it from the tap


  • Layer ice with the ingredients in a large one gallon pitcher.
  • Top with water.
  • Let steep in your fridge at least 45 minutes.
  • Enjoy!
