Tonight's Meal is NOT a recipe, its a technique. Protein and Vegetables - we know you've heard that before. It should be the basis for all of our meals!
The easy peasy Protein - a platter of grilled Italian sausages - just cook on the stove in a skillet or grill them outdoors. I have a pot of fresh herbs at my kitchen door and a chopped handful makes the dish sing.
The Vegetables are gorgeous ripe Summer heirloom tomatoes from the local market sliced and arranged on a platter, add a few paper thin slices of sweet white onion, lots of scallions, I've pulled apart bite sized pieces of fresh mozzarella with my fingers and seasoned everything with a big pinch of sea salt, a few grinds of black pepper, a drizzle of olive oil and red wine vinegar.
Remember that the more color the more nutrients.
What a great meal for the whole family! I make this once a week - Spring Summer Fall or Winter. Its my favorite.
