This one is not a recipe but more of a 'how to'. I love Honeycrisp and Fuji apples as they are juicy and crisp and make the perfect base for a canapè.
I paired the apple slices with a slice of brie and a one inch square of crisp cooked smoked bacon. Top with a drizzle of melted Smucker's Sugar Free Apricot Preserves and a few chopped pecans. Boom. These are wonderful!
They're a little fancy pants and I completely understand this is not going to do much to replace salsa from a jar and tortilla chips if that's your bag. However, these little finger foods are special for your pouch and emphasize quality rather than quantity.
