I roast my turkey breast side down, so it is very moist, plus the creamy Greek yogurt blended with a touch of mayonnaise for tang creates the right texture for a bariatric post-op. Grapes add sweetness and curry powder adds zestiness and snap!
These are a crowd-pleaser for any special occasion and will be sure to put a smile on everyone's faces!
There are fresh wonderful choices that tickle the taste buds now that we no longer inhale our food in front of a TV or from the styrofoam container. Make your new choices from protein and healthy carbs. Be happy about the great food you CAN have... don't be sad about not eating bad choice foods.
One Perfect Bite! These are soooo good.
They are sweet and chewy and have zero sugar and lots of flavor. I make them in silicon molds and after an hour in the fridge they pop right out. They are shiny and beautiful and it doesn't matter if you eat every. single. one. of. them.
We know that many of our Facebook Support Group members schedule surgery at end of the year to use up health savings accounts and take advantage of insurance deductibles. Then one day wake up and think 'What am I going to do about Thanksgiving and Christmas?' No worries. This is not our first rodeo..
That behavior now embarrasses me. Almost twenty years after bariatric surgery, we eat much cleaner and prefer simple fresh foods - like NORMAL people.
A really nice holiday drink that makes everyone feel as if they are part of the festivities... bariatric and diabetics can be left out of all the 'sugared' goodies, but this warm drink is calming, soothing, and really delicious.
The best stuffing you will ever eat. Excellent combination of flavors and textures that is lower in carbs as well. If I am going to choose ONE carb to eat at a holiday meal this is the one that is pouch worthy.
Before anyone goes CRAZY over all this crust, this pie is not a bariatric dessert - it's simply a No Added Sugar version of an Old Fashioned Apple Pie to serve to everyone who comes to Thanksgiving dinner at your home, or take to your Grandmothers for the holiday dessert table. The best part is that it is INSANELY good and no one will EXPLODE from sugar alcohols.

Sometimes I even moisten some Inspire Protein Kitchen Pancake Mix with enough milk to make a couple of drop biscuits to place on the bottom of our bowls too!

I use Splenda as it works well in custards. No need to reinvent the wheel here folks. This is simple goodness at its best. Make this with a crust OR WITHOUT depending on your use. My husband does not think it is PIE unless it has crust, so for holidays I make this pie using a Pillsbury All Ready Crust and it looks super homemade. (gasp, I would never use a frozen stamped crust.)
